Halle and Husband

I am still in awe of my November 2022 bride Halle. I still remember her wedding day as if it were yesterday. My assistant and I would arrive to Halle’s get ready location to take care of her and her bridal party of 11 bright and early. It was still pretty dark outside when we arrived. The air was crisp and the get ready location was adorned with holiday cheer. You could feel the jolliness of the holidays all around. We arrived sometime around 5:30AM, coffee in hand and ready to glam!

Halle’s get ready location took place at the stunning Georgian Terrace Hotel. This hotel location is absolutely breath taking. It is actually a historic hotel and was opened in October of 1911. Some of their most notable guest were Helen Keller, Walt Disney and Elvis. Even a few past U.S. Presidents have visited this hotel! It has such a regal vibe to this location and gives you this feeling of royalty and elegance. Halle’s bridal suite was no different, it was so presidential with lots of space for hair, makeup and our assistants to glam the entire wedding party.

The Look

I actually met Halle for a standard in studio makeup appointment that she booked to get her makeup done for her engagement session. It was such a wonderful appointment, we talked about her glam goals for her engagement shoot and how she envisioned her look as a bride on her wedding day. For her engagement shoot we kept her look very soft and refreshing.

However, for wedding day Halle informed me that she actually wanted to glam her look up without it being too over the top. Halle is blessed with these beautiful full brows and one of her pain points is that her eyebrows were sometimes overdone when she has previously had her makeup done by another artist. Since she already has these gorgeous brows there isn’t a need to overly fill them in, instead to keep them nice and natural, I only filled in any sparse areas and just cleaned them up by adding a little concealer under her brow on the brow bone to give her brows more definition and a sharper more polished look. My favorite brow product to use to create a natural brow is The Precisely My Brow Pencil by Benefit Cosmetics. I love this pencil because it is waterproof which is perfect for weddings especially when the wedding ceremony takes place outside or for dancing the night away! The head of the pencil is retractable and made in away that allows you to create fine hairlike strokes in the brow. I went with a little pop of shimmer on her lids and softly smoked out her upper lid and bottom lash line without adding any liner to keep her look soft and not to overwhelm Halle. The key is to only enhance my bride so that she can still see herself just more enhanced. I’d like to say the results were chefs’ kisses, but I’ll let Halle tell you how she felt about her look, herself, here. This look was so perfect for her and I loved how it all came together from start to finish. From her fabulous hair and makeup to her gown, Halle was breathtakingly gorgeous.

The Bridal Party

Halle’s bridal party consisted of all the beautiful women in different gorgeous shades of brown that my assistant and I truly enjoyed glamming. Their hair would be perfectly coifed into a sleek pony tail with what I like to call a swoop bang which is so beautiful to me. Each bridal party member would receive a gorgeous brown toned smokey eye that was sultry yet soft for this November wedding. It was such a joy to glam each of them up and learn more about how they became friends with Halle and their love or her. Friendship is such a beautiful thing and is so needed in life. It is a blessing to have a friend and I was so happy to see Halle surrounded by so much love and support. You can check out a few of Halle’s girls below.
